>>>"Mr Cox, you stated there is a problem that needs to be addressed to assure fair markets, why have you taken no action?"<<<

Considering that it took the toothless REG SHO seven years to come into being, I doubt anything short of a Presidential order would serve to accomplish anything worthy of talking about.

Btw, since you said you "didn't follow this issue real closely", may I offer you some excellent research material if you should ever feel a reason to 'bone up' on it?

Cox is blowing smoke up the ... of the public. He is starting to look worried because he knows the public is becoming aware of the games the SEC has had full knowledge of, yet failed to do anything about. Mack the knife is a perfect example but it is only a tiny tip of the iceberg. The failure of the SEC to enforce the rules allowed the statute of limitations to expire on the Pequot dirty dealings. It is my opinion that the SEC appears to have obstructed justice by firing Aguirre.

The fox is guarding the henhouse. This statement is starting to be better understood on Main street, but it has been fully understood by Wall St. (especially for the past 7 years). Many have always believed this is true but were always dismissed as conspiracy theorists. Too many areas, with respect to the markets, are now filled with so much stench that they can no longer be ignored. They can be delayed and made to "appear clean" but in the end we will find out more and more about of these dirty, stench filled issues which have been simply ignored by the SEC.

Light is starting to be shown on some of the dark places where the SEC, Wall St and the current WH administration don't want the public to view. It will take years for a lot of the dirty dealings to come out and many (probably most) won't ever be shown the light of day. There are just too many issues that have been intentionally ignored by those who were supposed to be the watch dogs.

The power these people wield allow them to be smug right now. They will talk the talk but won't walk the walk. I look forward to the day when some of the dirty dealers walk the "perp walk".
