All automatic weapons are already banned without a special federal license for police departments and other law enforcement agencies. Some special security companies may possess a license and pay a yearly fee.

Dianne did not ban automatic weapons - I suspect you have no real idea what was banned and it's practical effectiveness.

As for automatic weapons - can't think of a better home defense gun.
