It's always about raising taxes with them, they're too stupid to think up anything new.... One of the only valid reasons that the dems have for not drilling is that the subsequent drop in oil prices would remove some of the stimulus needed to drive alternate energy sources. Even at 3+ a gallon there wasn't alot of excitement about alternative energy. So if 4 a gal is the magic number where we're feeling the crunch but it's not completely unbearable then why not drill now and have a variable tax on gas that would maintain a constant price of 4 dollars a gal....
