<<Not knowing the difference between Sunni and Shiite>>

Just today he talked about the border between "Iraq and Pakistan." Brilliant.

KT,

>I actually support the Fairness Doctrine <

The only people that support the Fairness Doctrine are brain damaged. ;-) I'm losing all hope for you.

The only issue with the Times rejecting McCain's piece is that it clearly screams that the paper is biased (like anyone with a functioning brain didn't already know that. LOL) which in turn reduces it's credibility as a NEWSPAPER.

No one ever said that Rush, Hannity, Savage etc... don't have extremely biased shows. Even they would admit that.

The difference is that their radio stations WOULD ALLOW left leaning shows on the air if they drew large enough audiences to actually make the required financial return. They don't! The radio stations themselves are NOT BIASED. They don't care how they make a buck. That's the difference. Sales at the Times would actually go up if it was a real NEWSpaper and it also published the views of right wingers/libertarians etc.... and tried to make money instead of influencing the dummies that buy the paper.

The reason right wing radio dominates is because there is no need for center/left and left leaning people to search beyond all the major networks, entertainment cable channels, and most newspapers for news that is in their idealogical sweet spot (meaning left leaning). The center/right and right is limited to FOX, talk radio, and a handful of news/publications geared exclusively to a financial audience.
