<No it's more like the dealer with two buyers for that one car and he has taken the full price in advance from both of them and told them to come back in 13 days when they just "might" get the car...>

Nope, better brush up on stock loan. That's like saying when you put your credit card # in Amazon.com and order a book that you "MIGHT" get... big deal.

<DAK - You talk a lot about our "ignorance" but you seem unusually reticent to provide clear answers to questions or to supply real data and links to support your assertions. Just because something has become a common practice that the authorities choose to ignore doesn't make it right.>

My assertions??? All you need to do is add up all the "naked shorts" on your list multiply it by 10 or 100!!! See how many shares that is compared to the total shorts out! Why should I do that!?!! You're the one with the claims... I claim nothing except experience that tells me the NORMAL COURSE OF BUSINESS IS TO BORROW STOCK... not be naked... I've dont' it for years.... you read blogs and speculate! Do the leg work yourself please!

< If I bought a car from a dealer for cash and later found out it was encumbered by a lien or an undischarged lease, I could either file a criminal complaint of fraud and/or bring an action in the courts to obtain redress...>

Dude... it's like this. You bought a car off the dealers lot for cash and got title to it FREE AND CLEAR. The fact that the dealer had 6 of 'em from a wholesaler on loan to try and sell doesn't mean BUPKISS to you. NEVER HAS ANYONE BEEN FORCED TO RETURN STOCK THEY BOOUGHT IN THE HISTORY OF THE NYSE!!

<The facts seem undeniable.. The same stock is being sold to multiple buyers all of whom believe they own it outright.>

As a blanket statement about the normal course of things this is absolute bullshit. It's up to you to prove such ridiculous accusations, not me. Undeniable in your mind I suppose.

<The broker is selling the same piece of property to multiple buyers without making them aware that the property sold was not owned by the seller and in full knowledge that it cannot be delivered to the buyer?>

There's "multiple buyers" now? Oh, I think there are multiple voices in heads maybe! LOL -gggg-

This get's tiresome... please find someone that understand stock loan instead of reading shrill blogs on some black helicopter website.
