Name one thing progressives have been wrong about, besides that some of them trusted Bush after 9-11. Anything. One issue they are wrong about. Knock yourself out. AND BTW, if progressives are extremists then so is the majority of the US public now. On every issue from Iraq to health care to energy to you name it, most Americans are in line with progressive policies. Today we saw Obama show up McCain in Iraq as well. That was McCain's only strong suit, until now. McCain also made a speech today about troubles on the "Iraq Pakistan border". Of course those countries are nowhere near each other which makes McCain seem senile and deluded. Get this, rightwing, Progressive Is the New Mainstream, and Obama and democrats are winning over a sizeable number of conservatives, including evangelicals, especially young ones. Meanwhile under Bush the GOP has SHRUNK by 15%, fewer and fewer people willing to call themselves Republicans.
