It's only 2000 miles to Wall Drug (from somewhere).

The Badlands are not far away, and are definitely worth seeing.

Deadwood might be fun.

Don't plan on a November trip. You're likely to hit snow storms.

Smithee did SD last summer. He'd be able to give you some tips.

Mt Rushmore is just awesome. We took the kids when they were younger, and they were just as awestruck as we were....It's beautiful there. And Wall Drug, wherever it is out there, is too much fun....in the middle of absolute no place, with hundreds of signs pointing the way to it....They made No Place, a Place. <ggg>

We drove through on I90. Didn't have time for Rushmore this trip but I definitely want to see it

If you go to Rushmore, don't visit the Crazy Horse Monument first, do it after. Otherwise Rushmore will seem miniscule in comparison.
