As I said previously, the price of oil is largely based on perception. Future supplies impact that perception, as do a dozen of other things such as; whether stability can be maintained in Nigeria, if Iran will continue their march against the U.N., whether Venezuela will lead toward a dictatorship similar to Cuba, or even how many hurricanes we'll see in the next year.

One major factor is whether American politicians have the will to cast aside massive environmental lobbyist money, in favor of supporting common sense environmental protection that allow for the extraction of oil and natural gas from within the U.S. borders.
