But I'm willing to place a large bet that the environmental lobby's numbers are smaller. It's not as if Greenpeace is making billions in profits per quarter.

This page shows spending on lobbying by industry sector. I would have thought the oil companies would be higher, but they're up there, anyway.

Looks like total spending for lobbying by Environmental groups was around 13 million in 2007. Quite a bit below the oil companies, at 82 million. And that doesn't include political contributions.

How about that? We're right.
