finally, somebody has the balls to tell it how it is in afghanistan and canada's involvement there and before we continue to throw stones at the u.s. we should take a closer look at the role we are playing and what our priorities and motivations actually are.

The "war" is being fought here, and Obama can't fight it on two fronts. He has to go along with the consensus opinion on Afghanistan for now. Of course it's a futile effort to try to eradicate the Taliban, or to prop up our puppet governments over there. But it's a cherished military opinion that we "won" in Afghanistan...and a multitude of new American Junkies can testify to the rewards we reaped, cheaper heroin. Shoot em up. Drugs, oil, the CIA & the Pentagon: makes a nice, lethal to Democracy, cocktail.
