Ted, > When you are going to court and/or jail, you are forced to resign. The mayor of Spokane, Senator Craig, Tom Delay, etc all refused to resign.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your beliefs:

en.wikipedia.org

> In 2005, a Texas grand jury indicted DeLay on criminal charges that he had conspired to violate campaign finance laws during that period. DeLay denied the charges and pled not guilty, saying they were politically motivated and the law he was indicted under did not apply until later, but Republican Conference rules forced him to resign temporarily from his position as Majority Leader.

The Republican rules force their leaders who are under indictment to step down from their position. The Democrats do not have such rules. It should be obvious why (cough cough Clinton cough cough) ...

So the Democratic standard is you resign only when you have to go to jail?

Your boys don't have the moral high ground all wrapped up as much as you think you do.

I have of course not claimed Republicans possess th moral high ground, merely that they have some standards for their leaders.
