The whole diet is centered on avoiding saturated fat - it's the centerpiece.

If the centerpiece of the diet is a complete nonsense, what does it make the entire diet. Or even better, what does it make AHA?

AHA is slowly waking up to the fact that their entire organization is a fraud. IMO, if one does the exact opposite of what AHA recommends, the chances for that individual to be free of heart disease are about the same as if the same individual followed AHA.

But such big an organization can't just make a U-Turn and say "We have been wrong all these years". That would open the door to all kinds of criticism and litigation. Instead, you will see a slow turn, one fatty piece of fish (or meat) at the time.

Not really as bad as Davis is saying. My main criticism of Davis is that he tends to get unfairly hyper-critical and overly aggressive at times.

Wait a minute. Dr. Davis is right on the money. If someone stakes their reputation on a theory that saturated fat causes heart disease, and calls themselves "American Heart Association", if this organization recommends diet low on saturated fat as a way to avoid heart disease, and if consequently the centerpiece of their existence is shown to be irrelevant, what does it leave them? A laughing stock, IMO.
