How about trading distincting societies?

I always liked the scenery and skiing in Quebec better anyway.

Ontario is isolating itself economically to the extent that it will be as distinct as any in a short time. If you travel to its major cities you will find that its major languages are dying out in favour of a compromise between several foreign dialects.

Holidays are about the same. Have to make better beer. Not as many covered bridges. A few less cows wandering across the roads. A few differences. But all in all a fair trade.

I think Quebec is working out its social and economic problems better than Ontario. Perhaps that is a function of more favourable federal treatment. But it seems that much of it is internal.
