I hate to disappoint, but the aeromag and gravity probably won't help much at that scale. The magnetics may be influenced by the glacial till to a large extent. The highs could be thicker till with mafic Precambrian fragments from farther north. It depends on the bird height to some extent. Horizontal tabular bodies such as a coal seam do not produce a good anomaly. Vertically oriented objects show up better. I honestly don't know the magnetic characteristics of coal, but suspect it would be low, not high. Nothing jumps out of the bouguer gravity either, but coal would definitely be a low. There are probably very few stations in the area of interest. High resolution gravity might define a 20m coal seam and would be much easier and quicker than seismic. Maybe GXS should look into that instead of whipsawing us with wildcat holes.
