The Media Mob has learned that a team of Hollywood insiders is currently working on a screen adaptation of Truth And Duty: The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power—the 2005 book by former CBS News producer Mary Mapes,

Surely someone will come to their senses before producing this turkey? They are going to make a feature-length film claiming that the Rathergate documents were all true, legit I tell you, in Times New Roman font with little superscript 'th's and everything? And Bill Burkett is a sober witness, and Lucy Ramirez did so exist.

Hoo boy. They have gone round the bend.

No, Rathergate won't make a good movie. Unless they can turn the writers loose and put a lot of car chases, sex scenes, CIA agents in black helicopters gunning down people in small TX towns, ....

Like the story Bill Buckett claimed of being handed an envelope with the fake documents while he was at a cattle auction. That'll have to be moved to a strip club, with the woman who handed the documents off being a stripper who is subsequently killed by BushHitler assassins which Burkett narrowly escapes.

They would really have to sex up this story a lot if they hope to get anyone to watch it. Probably still wouldn't work.
