There is no evidence of this.


The gov't agents investigating the case were out of SF. McCain and the other Keating five met with them. Shortly after they met, the SF office was taken off the case and the case was closed. Coincidence? I don't think so. Eventually, the case was reopened. Keating was found guilty. Three of the Keating 5 were fined; McCain and another of the 5 got a slap on the wrist.
