It was much worse in vietnam. We felt that troops had a choice then. They could go to canada, to jail, underground. Seems stupid today to have thought that the average GI really had choices and the most pitiful were many draftees who didnt want to go in the worst way. US learned the lesson of that war---volunteer army and guns and butter. What i do agree with you about is some of the left disparages the troops but praises them publicly. During vietnam there was none of that duplicity. Troops werent respected, period. Here they are praised by some but held in little regard especially by the pacifist elitists. Hell in a perfect world, i am a pacifist too but it aint perfect and we need those volunteers on the front lines even if the politicians get it wrong now and again.

But the reality is that it is a left/right thing. The Left disrespects the troops You're lying through your teeth. How ugly you guys become when you're desperate and losing. Did Obama look like he disrespected the troops in Afghanistan? Did he, punk? When I read the post regarding "spitting on the troops" I had not seen the offensive piece on Hannity/Colmes from UCSB. CA is the very worst of the worst, but the attitude isn't isolated. It is so frigging isolated that Hannity had to search high and low to find one. You are not an American. If I were moderator of this thread, you would be gone you lying POS. One last thing.....you poor excuse for a human.....there have been people on this thread, liberals, who have had sons, daughters and friends fight in Iraq just like your son. You have insulted all of them with your slanderous accusations. I hope you are proud of yourself.
