Ted, you bring up a great point, one that Asian-Americans have been dealing with for years. Put it mildly, the averages paint a picture of success but also hike up expectations. Asians who fall behind their fellow Asian peers take the brunt of it. Some even end up joining gangs. I've known quite a few former Asian gang members. Of course, Chris Rock put it best when he mentioned the stereotype that Asians have to "suffer." "Man, black people would kill for that stereotype! 'Oh, look at Tyrone over there. He looks smart.
