We don't have the reserves to make a dent in oil prices. If we rush and squander our reserve, we'll be in worse shape than ever.

Your article conveniently doesn't mention any of these facts. It talks about the speculative side of oil prices, but not the real basis that has driven prices over $100 - world instability, insatiable (and subsidized) demand from China and India, lack of real progress on alternatives and conservation. Then, as a sleight of hand, it tries to cast the gas sellers as the misunderstood bad guys - ignoring the real culprits - Big Oil.

If you want to talk real numbers, let's do it. Leave the sleight of hand and misdirection to the con men.
