Dear pearly plus one, Number or pecentages mean nothing without a precise definition. Take Earth Heat Loss. If for example the generic mean albedo of the earth is .3 then Long-wave radiation to space is made up of reflected solar Long-wave radiation and all the Long-wave radiation that is the 70% of all solar long and short absorbed and then remmited as longwave. I thing 70% plus some part or 30% is far greater than 4.1% Because of this I can guess a rational definition of the 4.1. But that makes Convection and conduction to atmosphere......... 4.8% dumb. But it all based upon the absurd laws or interpretations of physics postulated by the AGW foolish. You simply cannot comprehend that the models that speculate the amount of back radiation from the atmosphere is foolish and the entire basis of calling it heating does violate the 2nd law. It is foolish because if it existed as postulated, it is withing the realm of technology to detect it. It cannot be detected. At the thinking the idea violates the 2nd law, that is the unerstanding of the true meaning of the 2nd law. Understanding the meaning of the 2nd law, is the proverbial problem just like check mate in two moves. You see the meaning of the logic of movement of the chess pieces or you do not. Clearly there are many who just do not get it. And that is the boat in which you float.
