I remember when Falconbridge inked an offer with Diamond Fields on Voiseys Bay. They offered something like # 2 billion and there was a $ 100,000,000 back out penalty clause.
Inco came in and bid something like 2.3 billion and Diamond Fields took it and had to pay $ 100,000,000 penalty to Falconbridge for cancellation.
