This election is a long way from being over.

Now, if McCain cannot find some footing, and continues to "sleepwalk" through it, it could be over. But I really don't know what McCain could have done differently, given that the liberal media is so enthralled with Obama they literally left nobody here to cover McCain.

Obama will have more great days during his convention, but ultimately, he's going to have to face McCain in a setting that requires him to get away from the hollow speeches (like the one today) and address the concerns we, as Americans have.

At that point, Obama is at a distinct disadvantage because he doesn't have the issues on his side. He does have the youth vote sewn up, but the under-30 crowd isn't exactly know for showing up at the polls when it comes down to it (I've met a couple of 20-somethings who thought they had "voted for Obama" when the voted in the primary, not even KNOWING there was a general election coming up).
