Why would there be buyers? >>

Why is there buyers for any stock?
Just an example-----

Why was BCM $11 last year and $3.85 now?BCM has proven that it has much more silver and the price of silver is higher. In addition , BCM never went into the frothy stage like GXS, or KXL, or several other (magic finds) did.

I don't know what you mean.

True enough that's discouraging, but which is cause, and which effect - you could look at it as Kinross simply taking advantage of a situation not of their making, thereby helping to augment a self-feeding death spiral that just keeps dragging us down forever and ever amen

Horseshit i say, there's a turn coming, perhaps quite soon, at least for those projects that don't need financing in the near term, or those able to attract it [note ktn.v just closed their latest, each round higher than the last, now 20m in kitty] ... we include small producers in the 'junior' category, well quite a few of them are actually set to go, don't need nothing from nobody, except a little time to ramp up and a reasonable metals market, which they will have, no worries, even the beat-up metals like zinc and nickel, also the sun will come up tomorrow at precisely the time Copernicus or whoever could have predicted if he just had a decent watch

Seniors always did have the advantage over juniors, none of which ever got their fantasy buyout price ... sure it's a stronger effect now, needs improvement definitely, and won't get it anytime soon, you're right ... i dunno, is that reason to quit, not with up-and-comer producers it's not

Kinross has the right to match any higher offer for Aurelian. Aurelian will owe Kinross a C$42 million break-up fee if another offer is accepted, the companies said.

Competing bids are most likely to come from Barrick Gold Corp. or Newmont Mining Corp., both of which may be attracted to the size of the Fruta deposit, Barnes said.

Wrong! The guys that get the K cash/stock are likely to spend it by looking for more gold and the best place to do it is to buy dirt cheap stock. They're going to go shopping and leave all their headaches to K.
