He was also against drilling the OCS until it recently became politically expedient to be for it. Oh, shut up already. He was against drilling in the OCS until we had $4 gas. McCain has not changed positions for political expediency. That's Obama's domain, something he has done daily -- until his advisers told him to quit. Now, he maintains doggedly stupid positions (like, "I opposed the surge then and I would still oppose it today ... because we don't know WHAT might have happened if MY plan had been followed"). A totally idiotic commitment to a failed policy. Which he has, of course, received a media pass on. A person has to be an idiot to support Obama. Really.
