.the wheat thing threw me...

I should cut wheat out, but I haven't yet done so. There is no need to do it unless you have heart disease, or are overweight. It's the outcome of a diet called "No Carb," "South Beach" or "Pritikan." On any of these diets, you go off all Carbs to start, which includes Wheat. Dr Davis believes that you should stay off wheat permanently. I posted about this in these three posts:

I thought wheat bread was superior to white bread...etc?

Whole grain bread is superior to white bread, which is just sugar. Most of what calls itself "whole wheat bread" isn't whole grain but rather white bread with some brown flecks and a higher price. <g>

Cereal better than bacon and eggs?

Not really. Oatmeal is better than bacon and eggs. Beyond oatmeal, not so much.
