Obama CAMPAIGN decided against the visit when they all could not go. So, Obama did not want to go personally or he would have. He does not have to have his speech writers with him at every moment...Obama apparently did not really want to visit the soldiers unless he received a lot of publicity. That was a mistake on Obama's part. Soldiers will now know he is an empty suit.
