Our point is not about alternative energy investors wanting to make money.

I have no problem with people wanting to make money.

I do have a problem with them doing so by rent-seeking.

I hope they do make money. Especially if they make money by competing against conventional fuels. I don't think they've accomplished much though if their profits are dependent on subsidies.
