Hell, you're a legend in your own mind! You should have used the lead shields.

Maybe, maybe not. Gallup's tracking poll (a 3-day rolling average of registered voters from July 22-24) shows Obama extending his lead over McCain to six points, which is the first sign he may - I repeat, may - be getting some lift from his overseas tour:

Obama 47 (+2 vs previous day)
McCain 41 (-2)

Rasmussen's tracking poll also showed Obama with another tiny pick up overnight, increasing his lead over McCain to 5 points - its highest point since July 8:

Obama 49 (+1 vs. previous day)
McCain 44 (-1)

The movement in these polls could easily be statistical noise, or it could be indicative of a slight bump. The only way of knowing is to watch and see whether the trend continues and whether Obama holds these gains or falls back. Right now, Obama leads McCain in the RCP National Average by 4.8%.
