Surely they don't mean trans fat literally. CLA is a naturally occurring trans fat that is used as a supplement because it's considered good for you. You can get it from the cheese of grass-fed animals. Surely Arnold doesn't want to keep Swiss cheese out of the Whole Foods. What I assume is intended is to ban partially hydrogenated oils from restaurants. I get rather a kick out of the arbitrariness of this. There are so many potential targets. Why this one, particularly when publicity campaigns have already done most of the job.
