It's no longer (D) versus (R), it's both of them against the American middle class (who's now like a fighter taking a standing 8-count). Both deal with an entrenched bureaucracy and a government so enmeshed with corporate interests and immersed in self-dealing that it's impossible to make meaningful change at all. A few symbolic flourishes, that's about it. Meanwhile Rome burns, the executive branch plays the fiddle, and Clowngress plays the harp......
