Less different than you think; both sides are coopted by the same forces, deal with the same lobbies, receive contributions from the same companies. It's no longer (D) versus (R), it's both of them against the American middle class (who's now like a fighter taking a standing 8-count). Both deal with an entrenched bureaucracy and a government so enmeshed with corporate interests and immersed in self-dealing that it's impossible to make meaningful change at all. A few symbolic flourishes, that's about it. Meanwhile Rome burns, the executive branch plays the fiddle, and Clowngress plays the harp......
