Moose, there are bunches and bunches of Muslims around here. Most of the stores are staffed with Muslim women. Many wear scarves with otherwise Western dress. The Muslims with whom I rub shoulders every day don't appear threatening in any way.

I had lunch at an Ethiopian/Yemeni restaurant a couple of weeks ago. A party of three women came in dressed across the board. One looked almost like a hooker, another showed only her eyes. It's really odd to see groups like that. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they talk about dress...

We actually have 7,000,000 Muslims in the U.S. (real Muslims, not the reverend Farakan pseudo-Muslims).

I think if they were prone to killing people we would have noticed it by now ... if 1 in 100 U.S. Muslims managed to kill a measly 1 person a year it would amount to 70,000 murders per year, very hard to brush under the rug. How hard is it to murder 1 person a year? You could manage it without even breaking a sweat.

But when I read articles about murders in the newspapers the perps don't look at all like they are Muslims.

It could be that Muslims aren't prone to acts of violence, or it could be that they are lulling us into complacency in order to kill us all at once.

When I lived in D.C. there were a lot of Muslims in my apartment complex, they didn't seem the least bit threatening though there is every chance they were hiding rocket launchers under their burkas.

Where would I be safer, Washington D.C. or Ridayh?

Muslims make me nervous because I can't tell what they've got hidden under all those flowing robes, and there is a definite history that says it isn't always just underwear.

I have a similar problem with Scots.
