Seems this writer is blaming the increase in Fairfax County police reports of crime on Prince William County having enforced laws against illegal immigration.

Unless the writer has documentation on whether or not the increase in crimes were committed by illegals coming from Prince William County into Fairfax-----his comparison is speculation.

Fairfax County's increase could be due to many factors----i.e. a warmer than usual winter-----increase in price of gold that makes burglary attractive to those able to steal and sell the gold in any form----jewelry, coins----often the final destination being to sell the stolen items to buy drugs.

I would also look at the classification of various kinds of crime------has there been a change in what is defined as a crime in a particular category by Fairfax County, thereby causing an increase in a category.

And, then with Fairfax County the part for which Connelly is running for Congress is directly across the river from D.C. Crime does not stop at the Potomac River. It often crosses the Potomac from D.C. to Virginia via the rapid transit system.
