-Claude I noticed that you suddenly disappeared after making this statement in which you claim that there is some kind of political risk in Ecuador that ARU-X should see but that Kinross doesn't see.

First my friend, I have a life beside reading the posts on this thread. Second, I never made that claim as you said it.

I said that either a higher bid is coming, or the low bid by Kinross is really because of the higher political risk in Ecuador. So K obviously knows same as ARU.

If the risk is really that serious (which I doubt), then Kinross bid will likely stay low and be the only bid. But Kinross and its allies may simply have a strategy. Time will tell.

- ... or do you not really care how much this damages the junior resource sector

What damage?? Al juniors were down big before those K-ARU deal. Don't blame it on K, for now, the only reason this bid is low is because of Ecuador's uncertainties.

No matter what you think, there are still unknowns about Ecuador future mining regime. Otherwise, the DMM, IMG, CTQ of this world would be back to original prices.

I am on the side of those who invest in juniors gold mining companies. I don't like the K deal of course. But if the bid is so low, it is for some reason. I don't know that reason. If it is because you mentioned about K, then don't worry, there will be another bidder in line. If it is because Ecuador will come up with something nobody will like, then there is nothing we can do.
