Still don't get the gap between the claimed cost of $.13-.17 / kwh in the US SW and the Spanish $.40 / kwh.

The Spanish don't subsidize the building of the facility and they want to guarantee that the utility is profitable, not just break even. And they probably don't have land that is as conducive to solar as we have.

I wonder if the $.13-.17 includes the cost of storing and using power in the molten salt?

I'm relatively sure it does.
