A friend bought a condo near Jupiter( I think) for 180k back in the day. Recent foreclosure in the complex went for 19K.

I dunno how accurate realty trac is but I can tell you Indian River county (Vero Beach - Ft Pierce) is close to ground zero. Ground zero being St. Lucie county...to the south. You might check Brevard county to the north too.

What's a preforeclosure? A property that's in the process of foreclosure but not there yet. Usually the owner has missed several payments. Got a notice from the lender.

Beware that this is a loose term and some might use this as a marketing ploy.

Look around the page and you prolly find a lot of REOs.. (real estate owned by the bank) Countrywide in the middle other banks on the left and right.
