But something in Obama's attitude feels young to me, more so than with Bush.I think it's his seeming confidence that he can carry all before him, his tendency to get petulant when checked or questioned, a petulance that seems born of surprise.

That's it. Obama is unseasoned. He's Rookie-of-the-Year. He's someone who hasn't been frustrated very often. How does he react to failure?

Bush doesn't get petulant over failure. He's not surprised by it. He just puts his head down and soldiers on if soldiering is possible. There is a dogged quality to Bush's stubbornness.

Bush is a seasoned adult, a steady hand at the helm.

Really astute observation Nadine, and I might add: It is documented that boys mature at a slower rate than girls.

It takes most men a long time to actually grow up and become an adult............a man that, over time learns how to make decisions and control his life in a responsible manner. We'd all love to look 10 yrs younger than they really are, but when I look at The One, I see a kid.

He gives "soaring" speeches, with that deep voice and strong conviction, but I see him act like a kid.

For the adults out here, what we see is a guy that at most could be our younger brother, or even our son.

The one that makes immature mistakes. The one that doesn't know as much as us.
