Raising CAFE is a gimmick and always has been. At any rate the averages are going to climb because the market is demanding it. That is the proper way for this to work.

To ignore the supply side of things is so dangerously naive I don't know how you liberals can continue down that path. It's becoming obvious to any sane person that continuing to send 874 billion a year to people who hate us while ignoring our own resources is insane. Incredibly stupid.

We need nuclear power, coal oil, clean coal, offshore drilling, ANWR or anyplace else there is oil, alternative and efficiency. Anything less then all of that is pissing into the wind or putting a band aid on a gunshot wound something you liberals are famous for.

Why spend exorbitant amounts on pie in the sky projects, when billions of gals of oil are available 50-200mi off US shores?

You still dodge the question. What is wrong with drilling for more US oil? It will be needed badly in the future. You aren't going to reduce the needs around the world. We will need it. Why not Kenneth. Can you answer a question? Do you always dodge with Pelosi's lame talking points?
