Even the EU is having trouble trying to implement their fantasies of a continental socialism. American is a big freakin country and cannot be remade by euro standards. Why? The solutions have to be more creative than duplicating $10/gallon gas in germany. Why? Obama had 200k folks at his rally because they had nowhere to go with unemployment at 10% and gas at $10. Unemployment has not been that high for a couple of years. And just for the record, Obama spoke in the evening after the COB. Germany has been the engine causing improvement in the EU's economics.
