i guess you have to eliminate the ground flax seed on adkins?

Ground flax is fairly low in carbs. Good portion of carbs are fiber. I guess depends on how much ground flax person eats...

As Lane, I believe, pointed out here, when you subtract the fiber from the carbs, a tablespoon only contains about .76 of a gram of carb. My one "treat" every day has been a tablespoon of my applesauce mixture of that and flaxseed. I also added a tablespoon of metamucil-no carb-for bowel purposes.
