That too. The initial push will be automotive. ZENN hopes to ship a car in Fall 2009 with a top speed of 80mph and a range of 250 miles. ZENN's current product has a top speed of 25mph and a range of 50 miles.

The claim is that they can manufacture a 52kW/hr device for about $3k in low volume, dropping to $2k in high volume. Which is cheap enough for peaking and buffering for solar and wind.

If they can pull it off with those specs and that price, they will have a tiger by the tail.


Its amazing the number of private venture companies working on electric and hybrid cars. Clearly, they knew they were the wave of the future. The Big Three really blew it.....big time! If their shareholders were smart, they would have top mgmt replaced.
