The IKEA in EPA happens to be 3 minutes from my work, and has my local Starbucks across the road. They've also put in a Circuit City and a Best Buy (next to each other) across the road. Every time I go into either of them, I am one of less than 5 customers.

So I conclude that IKEA itself is purely a drive-in business and being right off 101 is the only benefit to them. For the consumer businesses that are actually trying to serve the neighborhood, no sign whatever of gentrification.

Yet anyway. It will come.
