It is not an either or - it is an all that can be done. Fools ignore numbers - fools who cannot expose it are just as dumb. Let's see what happens. Well said, Bearcatbob. I believe in the numbers as well. In fact, I have a post on this thread somewhere that listed out all the actions we need to take, which included conservation, alternatives, and drilling more, because I don't believe there's a silver bullet...we need to do it all. If you want to comb back through this thread and find that post, you'll see the numbers I posted related to that discussion. Anyway, it's a big problem that is going to need big solutions. But the first step is everyone in this country agreeing on the goal of oil independence.
