Hi Frank -

I'm wondering if anyone can analyze the other question here, which is the suitability of VoIP for wireless networks - IMS excluded, but Wimax, Wifi, HSPA, UMTS, everything else - included.

Does any mobile RF scheme have relative advantages/disadvantages?

I think we touched on this a few years ago, but never resolved the matter. It seems rather important when discussing all-IP mobile/nomadic networks. No?

Jim

To answer slacker711's trailing question, then, which was: "Are there any other initiatives I have missed so far to fix the LTE voice issue?"

Just to clarify, the entire entry was written by Martin Sauter. He's written a few technical books on mobile systems and while I havent read those, I am a big fan of his blog.
