If classifying me helps you feel superior, feel free. However, the reality is I vote for people who are smart and have a vision for this country beyond the same old same old. If that person is a Republican, then I'll vote for him/her. If some other party, then so be it. Right now, the Republicans don't represent us old guard Republicans anymore. So they've alienated a pretty large part of their base. That's too bad.

I'm old enough to remember when being Republican wasn't synonymous with having to favor the oil industry. Nowadays, if you disagree with anything the Republicans say, then you are branded as a liberal or as unpatriotic. That's how far the Republicans have sunk. So I won't defend them anymore nor be a part of that kind of politics.

I'm for America first and party second. In today's partisan charged world the reverse often seems to be the case with most people, and that's just too bad, because that's not good for this country or for solving our big problems.

You're a loyal Democrat now. Thats all I know.

You should have said "that's all I need to know".
