"he didnt register for the non-existant draft" I dunno if it still is the case, but you were required to register with the Selective Service even after the draft ended. Regardless, this is still stupid. He was in high school in Hawaii and they, no doubt, reminded their students constantly about the need to register. In addition, you have to answer that question whenever you want a government job or a student loan. Or go to college for that matter.
