"No, everyone was not speculating on housing.
There are a lot of innocents who will be hurt to bail out the scum and speculators and who did not cash in.
There are some who have ethics and they are insulted by your comments."

There is very little recognition by individuals in the US that we have completely undermined the foundations upon which this nation was built.....and more disturbing, they dont seem to care enough to investigate and think about it...instead, they are mostly interested in cashing in on the wealth of the US..which is now pretty much gone...and when the system comes down on their heads, they will not look for a return to the foundations of our prosperity, but will instead choose to give more power to the govt, ie, continue the same policies that have got us here.

I think quite a number of folks on this list are thinking about these issues, so of course the statement does not apply to all....but it does apply to most US citizens.

Blaming the problem on our politicians is only a small part of the issue....they are what we want them to be.
