It sure seems to me that the there are a lot of very subtle threats be bandied about by the multiple-aliased one.

You talking about me, hon? I'm making threats? What threats have I made? Care to be more specific? Where are you seeing "threats" that I'm making?

And for a public figure, there are almost no limits to one's right to express opinions or make statements about them.

Could be, and the one who may consider him/herself wrongly defamed has a right to properly pursue it as he/she sees advisable. You do realize that some of the tabloids have been found liable for untrue statements and charges about public figures. I guess that's what you call a "threat" but since I personally am just another poster and have no control or authority over what happens, it's simply a statement of fact.

PS queen: don't bother to write another one of your little diatribes about "defamation" for my sake, I won't waste time reading it.

Well, then I guess you probably won't be answering my questions, eh? Surprised, I'm not. I think that's called "hit and run", as in you make your charges and then say something like "don't bother, I won't read your response, I'm outta here". It's also called cowardly, in my book.

According to the uneducated, uninformed or simply clueless, pointing out Bob Brinker recommended the most over valued asset class for up to 5% of a portfolio at the very top of the bubble using a full page of his 8 page Marketimer newsletter, TEFQX, and having it as a buy and hope through today is defamation.

Now I bet if he recommended GOLD instead of internet stocks for that same 5% of the portfolio, Brinker would take at least one call a week on the show praising him for that brilliant advice... even if it never made it to the "official model portfolios."

OTOH, perhaps the uneducated, uninformed or simply clueless poster making that charge is not uneducated, uninformed and clueless but instead knows the truth but prefers to lie about it with the hope to intimidate.
