1) Gold looks technically suspect.

2) The Dollar Index has already bottomed out or is in the process of bottoming.

3) Short term we may be moving to a deflationary bear.

4) China/India slowing down.

5. The stocks almost always lead the metal and if you take a look at the charts of GDX and $HUI, they are currently trading in an area, which has previously represented support. But quadruple bottoms are very rare. Some traders call them the bottom of a trading range. Watch out for a free fall if support does not kick in again. Insiders appear to be intent on selling out here.

6. The early to mid part of August has had a tendency to produce some crushing declines in the Gold Market before the seasonally strong period of September.
