Long ago, a ladyfriend told me I was incorrigible. As I remember, she was unhappy with me at the time, and I didn't know the meaning of incorrigible. It reminded me of a tin roof, but alas the definition showed it to be something else ...

incorrigible:
1. bad beyond correction or reform.
2. impervious to constraints or punishment; willful; unruly; uncontrollable.
3. firmly fixed; not easily changed.
4. not easily swayed or influenced.

Didn't realize how unhappy the ladyfriend really was until I looked up the word, but maybe she was thinking of definitions 3 and 4, which aren't so bad.

As for Fran being incorrigible, I dunno. Usually she seems flexible enough.

Frannie dear, you are incorrigible.
