This county has been VERY successful with that regulation. Other countries with little or no regulation are poverty stricken hell holes. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Perhaps you need to study a little history. The United States was founded with "little or no regulation", and instead of becoming a "poverty stricken hell hole", grew into the most powerful and successful economy the world has ever known.

Then why isn't every country with "little or no regulation" growing into "the most powerful and successful economy the world has ever known"? All are mired in poverty.

Fact is, we became richer when we became more regulated.

Our government, God Bless America, is a big reason for our success. There are other reasons... one of which is that we were very rich in oil (back on topic). And another reason is the "bread basket"; unlike a lot of other countries we didn't have to worry so much about food production... we had a huge area with the richest soil in the world.

Now I know you libertarian types like to pat yourselves on the back as the John Galt American individualist saviours, but really... lets give the credit where the credit is due. Geography and good government.
